STAGE 12 - Hotel by Penz (Hotel2)

The Karwendel Nature Reserve with its Nordkette offers visitors unique panoramic views of nature and breathtaking vistas over the Alps. This program combines culinary delights, stunning scenery, and traditional Tyrolean specialties. Participants take the gondola directly from Innsbruck up to the Hungerburg. The hike leads, for example, to the rustic Arzler Alm, where guests can enjoy a 2-course Tyrolean lunch. Afterwards, a leisurely short walk takes you to the Hungerburgbahn, from where you return to Innsbruck.

Step into the magical world of Swarovski Crystal Worlds. Guests can explore the Giant with its unique Chambers of Wonder, accompanied by an audio guide that shares fascinating background information and stories about the Crystal Worlds. Since 1995, the hundredth anniversary of Swarovski, the Giant has watched over the Chambers of Wonder and the extensive garden. In the Chambers of Wonder, international and national artists, designers, and architects have interpreted crystal in their own unique way. Not only will the Chambers of Wonder enchant you, but the Giant’s garden also offers art, history, and unique delights — a place where crystal becomes a holistic experience. Discover a place where you can experience beauty, inspiration, energy, care, aesthetics, and legends. Let yourself be enchanted by the sparkling cloud and stroll along the mirror pool.
As a crowning finale, enjoy a lunch, for example at the stylish restaurant Daniels Kristallwelten by DoN, where culinary offerings embody elegance and sophistication.

Enjoy breathtaking views over Innsbruck, where the fascination of a ski jump with an Olympic history meets striking modern architecture. The Bergisel ski jump offers more than just sports — from the observation platform, you can take in an impressive panoramic view of Innsbruck. The ski jump was originally built for the 1964 Winter Olympics and was also used during the 1976 Games and the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics. During an exciting stadium tour, guests discover the history and technology behind this impressive sports venue. Those brave enough can even take a seat on the famous “shaky bar” and experience the adrenaline rush from the perspective of ski jumpers. Afterwards, a guided tour of the Tirol Panorama offers fascinating insights into Tyrolean history. The program concludes with a bus ride back to the city, where guests can enjoy a 2-course meal, for example at Restaurant Weitsicht (within walking distance of the main train station).

To meet the diverse needs of mountain bikers, we will be riding E-bikes, and participants can choose between an easy or a challenging tour. Along the way, various gourmet stations await you. For example, at different stops, you can taste small treats like a pine syrup made in Tyrol or correctly identify animal sounds. The E-bike tour ends at a mountain hut offering Tyrolean specialties. The pleasure tour is individually tailored and offers an experience where guests come into contact with many locals and learn interesting background stories about life in the mountains.

From the state capital Innsbruck, the journey continues by bus to the Tyrolean Unterland region, to the town of Kufstein. There, guests visit the famous glass manufactory and the Riedel Museum. Experience firsthand the craftsmanship and innovation behind Riedel’s premium glassware, made with a passion for wine and perfection. Before returning to Innsbruck, the group takes a stroll towards the old town to one of the many local Tyrolean restaurants and enjoys a 2-course meal featuring traditional flavors that leave the palate craving more.

Pure adrenaline for you! Just about a 25-minute transfer from the Penz Hotel Innsbruck, an absolute highlight awaits the group: the Miederer Summer Toboggan Run – the steepest alpine coaster in Europe! With an elevation difference of 640 meters, a 2.8 km long track, and speeds of up to 42 km/h, an exhilarating ride in the midst of the picturesque Stubai Valley awaits you. After the tobogganing fun, the group returns to the state capital Innsbruck, where the half-day program concludes with lunch.

Lake Achensee, nestled between the Karwendel and Rofan mountain ranges, is Tyrol’s largest lake and a true natural gem. During a leisurely two-hour boat cruise, guests enjoy the impressive mountain scenery from the water—a relaxing excursion with stunning views and fresh lake air. On board, guests are treated to drinks and a light culinary snack while the ship gently glides across the turquoise-blue lake. The peaceful ride offers time to relax, take photos, and reflect—an experience between the lake, mountains, and Tyrolean hospitality. Back in Innsbruck, the group concludes the half-day program with a shared lunch at Restaurant Weitsicht. The modern restaurant with panoramic views is located close to the train station, making for a comfortable start to the guests’ journey home.

For those not participating in the planned activities, Innsbruck offers numerous opportunities for individual exploration. The Old Town, with the famous Golden Roof—the city’s landmark—is perfect for strolling. A walk along the Inn promenade provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Those interested in culture can visit the Tyrolean State Museum Ferdinandeum or the Museum of Folk Art.
Meals are on your own — the city center has plenty of cafés, restaurants, and snack bars to suit every taste.
